Anyone ever had/have nasal polyps? What did you do about them, surgery?
Loss of smell: did it return after surgery?
My brother’s had problems with them for years. He had them removed non-surgically several times, but they always came back (they pull them out somehow). Finally he had the surgery, and that lasted much longer, but they did eventually come back (not as many). HE has never gotten his sense of smell or taste back, sadly.
I lost my sense of smell (and therefore have diminished taste) from many decades ago. I don’t have polyps per the ENT I saw and he suggested using nasal steroids and time m-i-g-h-t help. It’s been over a year and I still have difficulty smelling and muted tasting. :((
