Nashville, Mothers Day brunch

We’re heading to Nashville for my daughters graduation in May, which happens to coincide with Mothers Day weekend and my son’s birthday. We’re leaving Sunday afternoon and I’m looking for suggestions for a special place to celebrate. Doesn’t have to be fancy as it does unique and fun. We could also do this Saturday instead of Sunday. Daughter is a vegetarian so it has to have some good vegetarian selections and not just salads.

Send a PM to momofwildchild…if she doesn’t post on this thread. My guess is she will have some awesome suggestions.

Are you looking for something “Nashville?” And looking for something vegetarian in Nashville can be a challenge (but I’m hoping MomofWildChild will jump in with some of those options.)

For out of towners, unique and fun with a Nashville twist could be:
Monell’s: [Monells Restaurant/url
Loveless Cafe: [url=<a href=“http://www.lovelesscafe.com/]Loveless”>http://www.lovelesscafe.com/]Loveless Cafe](http://www.monellstn.com/n-rest.html)
Puckett’s: [Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant](http://www.puckettsgrocery.com/nashville/?pg=contact)

For a nicer restaurant:
Germantown Cafe: http://germantowncafe.com/</a></p>

The current “hot” chef in town is Arnold Myint (he was on Top Chef) and he owns:
Suzy Wong’s House of Yum: [Suzy Wong’s House of Yum - Suzy Wong’s House of Yum](http://www.suzywongsnashville.com/)
ChaChah: [ChaChah :: a tapas bar :: 2013 Belmont :: 615.298.1430](<a href=“ChaChah | Best BBQ in Nashville | Best Bars in Nashville | Best Nashville Restaurants”>http://www.chachahnashville.com/) and
PM: [PM : asian inspired cuisine](http://www.pmnashville.com/)

Hope this helps!

How 'bout the Pineapple Room at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens? That would make for a lovely day. Go to the Cheekwood site (.org) and I think you can view the menu. Enjoy your visit!

If you have time, come on out to Franklin and see our wonderful little town. It’s just about 15 minutes south of Nashville.

I already emailed my daughter since she is a foodie and vegetarian. I thought of Loveless but it’s kind of a zoo. ChaChah is good. I think there are some fun places in east Nashville. I would take a picnic and go out to Arrington Winery, given the choice.

Someplace in East Nashville that I always hear about, but I’ve never been is: [Margot Cafe](http://www.margotcafe.com/)

We had a big pre-grad dinner for S & future DIL (families from both sides) at Marche (can’t do the little accent) in East Nashville last May. It was delicious and the baked goods that were on display made my mouth water while we waited for dinner. I bet they would have a good brunch.

Edit: here’s the link - makes me hungry right now! http://www.marcheartisanfoods.com/menus/sunday-brunch</a></p>

Thanks for the suggestions! I looked at all of them and will run them by my daughter. Knowing her, she’ll have several places in mind too. I love the idea of going to a Botanical garden to eat! Since it’s a graduation weekend, I’m guessing that we should line up our dinner places ASAP. MOWC, I knew that you would pop in here if I put Nashville in the title! ;)

Just saw your post 2VU0609, my daughter and I actually ate at Marche’s when I was down there last year. It was wonderful, and I think we did it on our way to the airport, so that might be a very good choice for that Sunday. I couldn’t think of the name, but as soon as I opened the link, I knew that was it.

My daughter said Marche, too. She also likes The Tavern right near Vanderbilt and we actually went there to watch the Vandy-Kentucky SEC championship game. I thought the food was great.

What about Union Station?
