My name is Chrissy and I’ll be going to Session 3. I’m leaving Friday and I’m really excited… except I’m kinda scared about the running… not much of a runner. But as far as crunches & pushups, the conditioning we do in cheer is good enough to keep me in shape. I’m wayyyy excited to meet new people & make new friends… hopefully there’s a lot of girls there. Well, and guys. hah. Anyways, I keep on getting more and more anxious everyday… if anyone wants to talk… SwEeTaSiAnNeSs.

don’t worry about running.

last year in nass we ran at a decent pace.

plus, even if you want to quit, your squad won’t let you.

yeah don’t worry about the running. the longest you ever run is…three or four miles, but thats in formation, so its not at a break-neck pace or anything. You do run a mile for your CFA the first full day and a 1.5 the next day for PRT, but those have no real affect on you. even if you do terrible on your cfa, you can just re-do it.

overall, don’t worry about it. this isn’t supposed to be a week of the naval academy testing you and probing you; its about you testing out the naval academy. this is about you deciding whether or not you even want to continue the process. so just rela and have fun. it was definitely demanding, but personally, it made me want to apply to the usna THAT much more!

good luck!

My name is Evan and Im in session 3. Im leaving WI on the 17th in the morning and Im really excited for the seminar to start. Im a little worried about the running too, but just because I have a stress fracture and my cc coach doesnt really want me running/it hurts to run. Besides that Im ready to see what NAVY life is like!!
