NASS Acceptance Letters for USNA Class of 2011

Thanks MOM2LOLA2011. Been running around between prom, getting ready for club soccer tryouts, refereeing and work - that is just his schedule. All the while getting the last bits to get his car running. Now he has to be ready to ship off for a week in 5 days. We had been pacing ourselves getting ready for AIM at the Coast Guard since it is not until mid July.

Tonight we hope to pick up the what’s left on your list. Thanks again.

My daughter is attending NASS #1 as we speak. She just text messaged indicating that the week is going well so far. I don’t know all of what she is doing, but she said that she took the PRT this PM and did better than she thought she would do: 39 push-ups; 75 situps in the allotted time. That’s the most she has ever done within the time constraints. Hope all is going well for Lola. Maybe they’re in the same company- or however they classify and group the pre-plebes. If you hear from your daughter please send along a note or post.

Regards

PS We’re from the New York, Long Island area.

HEY BMOYET! THAT IS GREAT YOU HEARD FROM YOUR DAUGHTER! We will all have to keep each other posted as this whole thing progresses!!

That’s A Definite.

Thanks

Can you guys post your son/daughter’s Company as you find out? Great way to see if they are together… of course, there are 600 of them… but you never know. I will ask Lola when she calls tonight! ACTUALLY… I think I will start a new DISCUSSION THREAD for US MOMS and that info!

I’m actually a DAD. Megan and the rest of the clan live in Lindenhurst. I’m guessing that by the date of your membership your son/daughther is a mid?

If so would be great if mine makes it. She told me she’s loving the place right now. I’m an old Marine and figure that Parris Island it’s not.

Thanks for the welcome. Is your son/daughter a mid?

bmoyet…come 24 days, my daughter will be a mid…she received what is called a LOA, or a letter of assurance ( early acceptance) last Oct. 3rd…got her congressional nomination and appointment last January. We’re just in the counting the days mode now. :-)

I JUST GOT AN UPDATE FROM LOLA!

Yesterday/Sunday… PEP and CFA and rest from CFA. They went to Church and the GODLIKE YOUTH CHOIR Sang. They are eating in Dahlgren Hall as King Hall is closed for Renovation. Those who did well on CFA do not have to do it again. They also had Career Briefs and Honor Code Brief. Last night CHARLIE Co. vs BRAVO Co. had an ULTIMATE Frisbee Contest. Charlie Won. She said DELTA Company is the most squared away if anyone is interested.

Today… 4:50 am PRT and Classes. She said Martial Arts Class was AWESOME. They have been practicing Rates for Mock Indoc Night Wed Night. They had a Picnic for dinner across the Severn at Hospital Point.

Tomorrow/Tues… PEP, Classes, Trip to DC in the evening

Wed … Mock Indoc Night and Social.

Other things she said… They do get quite a bit of free time, and she cracked me up with this…They cannot wear flipflops on the Yard. The Cadre? are third class and are very nice. Also, I think she said, Alpha is first floor, Bravo 2nd, Charlie third, Delta 4th.

FYI… for Vegetarian. the food is good and plentiful and plenty for vegetarians to eat and they always have bagels and yoguart.

She also said if you can PM me name she will find them and say HEY! But she said she has to have the last name to do that.

THATS THE SCOOOP SO FAR FROM SESSION 1 NASS!

Thanks for the good news. Our son is Adam Crane, haven’t heard a word, which means it’s all good.

Do you know what Company Adam is in? I will ask Lola to look for him.

That’s great. Must be wonderful feeling- joy and relief- at same time. If Megan continues process, I’ll be here to pick your brain -if you don’t mine.

Congrats to you and your new Mid to be :D

bmoyet - you’re always welcome to…‘pick away’ at my brain, if it helps you all through this process. Last year this forum was my life saver as well.

Megan is home- safe and sound. A little battered and bruised, but all the better for the experience. She is eager to continue the application process. A couple of finals, an essay and her junior year is history (NPI). Thanks for the invite to learn from your experience as a parent of a mid-to-be. I’ll definitely keep in touch.

great bmoyet…you got my email.
