<p>I was recently named a National Achievement semi finalist…this is good news and McGill is my first choice school. However I was wondering if naming McGill as my choice with the award organization would be beneficial to my admission there. Will they care as much as an American college would, or should I put down an American uni instead? (in case I don’t get in). Just to be clear, McGill is my clear first choice - but getting in might be a reach and I could use the edge for my first choice us school. <p>I would say, go with the US school, because I don’t think that they would care. McGill doesn’t focus on EC’s and I don’t think this would be any differrent.</p>
