If they mail notifications the last week in August (which starts August 29th, unlikely people will know by Sept 1. Kids can take the November SAT. I’m still hoping my son won’t have to take the new SAT and can survive based on the old SAT.
I had my son take the SAT as soon as we found out his SI (216 in Utah, which definitely puts him in contention). He got a 1500 on the March SAT, which should definitely be high enough for confirmation. Our high school has been mum about hearing anything from NM, but knowing our school, they’re probably not organized enough to find the mail…
My district must receive mail centrally and then deliver to the schools because it took forever last year when other nearby districts were already notifying kids. I was very glad to have CC.
I will be waiting for the mail! Homeschool!
In the same boat here @snicks1234. I hope everyone in this thread gets SF! And, in turn, Finalist
We’ll be looking for reports from our home schoolers - you’ll likely have the first reports out!
Question? Can we ask who the home schoolers are and if they will put what they received in the mail on here as soon as they can. Everyone on here would greatly appreciate that. We are public school in Texas…that means it may take awhile for us to get the information from our schools.
Great idea - & what state you are in - I think the state cut off is the same, right??
I am a homeschooler, and I’d be happy to put up my notification as soon as I hopefully receive it
I am in Texas!
thanks @nutmeg_shippy!
@nutmeg_shippy Aw, you scored so high that we will need you to report from other homeschool families with lower scores to help us determine the cut-off. lol
For Texas, we need a homeschool family with a 220 SI to report.
@itsgettingreal17 …yes, I agree. Home schooler with a SI of 220 for Texas…anyone out there? If you can help us that would give everyone idea if the predictions are even close. @nutmeg_shippy …Sounds like you at no risk. Congratulations!! @CA1543…with any luck maybe we can get some real numbers soon.
Only if you choose to let it ruin your holiday. Right now for a lot of kids it’s Schroedinger’s Score-both confirming and not confirming. Eventually, it’ll be what it’ll be, one way or the other.
Yeah I thought of that I’ll try to snoop around my homeschool circles and see if I can find out anything pertinent. I don’t know of anyone in my area shooting for NM, but people keep scores pretty much go themselves around here lol.
@nutmeg_shippy …appreciate any snooping you can get. @MotherOfDragons …I will try not to let it ruin my Labor Day. Thanks for the advise and I have no idea what Schroedinger’s Score is so no worry for us on that one. =((
Just keep in mind that if you worry too much over the LD weekend time will slow down even more . . . .
We are homeschoolers in DC with two 223s. They’ve got our address right, because I got the “Commended” letter. I’ll report as soon as we get anything. If we don’t get anything then the news isn’t good!
I agree @candjsdad – if 223 doesn’t make it then the cutoffs are really steep!
@candjsdad congratulations on both your high scorers!! Hope they both make it!
