Wonder if anybody in California got their letters yesterday
We are in California, and did not receive anything from our principal yet.

We are also MA and my daughter found out yesterday afternoon from guidance. The letter says not to tell anyone outside of your family until 9/10 so things are kind of quiet so far. She was taking it in between SATs. She took Aug, Oct, Dec, March SAT and felt the psat was very easy comparatively. Obviously it is easier so idk. I’m sure yours got it with a 227.

Has anyone been told by their school principal’s yet? Crickets from ours so far. I guess we will be told tomorrow.
My DD’s principal emailed the parents yesterday to let us know our kids have been named semifinalists. We’re invited to the high school tomorrow for a surprise reveal!

We just got an email from S26’s school. The letter from the NMSC is dated 8/26.
Has anyone had this happen before where NMSC sent the letter with the wrong name to their high school, then notified the school of the mistake, and said you have one student who is a semi-finalist without naming them (I’m assuming it’s my son since he got a 1520), and we will get you a letter by September 10th, but as of today, has not done so? What should I do? Just be patient and wait for the letter to come? Any advice is appreciated.

I’m pretty sure tomorrow you can call NMSC and they will confirm students have qualified. They’ll help get the log in info.

So tomorrow, will the official cutoffs be posted on the official National Merit website? Is that were we can check? I’m not sure if the school will communicate.
Per the unofficial comments posted, our kid didn’t make it (although we spent all this time thinking it was very very possible alas the state jumped three points and our kid only had two to spare). So I would like to know if we can check a. Website in the morning and call it officially gone ?

I don’t believe they post it on their official website. But you can get info at compass prep website.
