Curious where sophomores/juniors with free housing from NMF were placed this fall. Also if anyone has an estimate of what % took the housing vs. lived off-campus independently.
This benefit is one where I think the vagueness doesn’t get them the benefits they deserve from a pretty generous part of the total NMF package. There’s a big difference if its a blount double vs. a share of an off campus apartment.
My son has lived for 3 years in East Edge apartments. It’s been great. He has 2 NMF roommates and knows others in the same situation. It’s a lottery to get in and then returning students are prioritized. You can go in with a roommate group or be placed into an open spot. Other live in Ridgecrest (dorm) or Bryce Lawn (on campus apartments). I have heard a couple who have given up the housing, but most seem to take advantage of it.
