<p>On the Common App, what year should I put for being a National Merit commended student? Obviously I took the test my junior year but we didn’t find out specifics until this year.</p>

<p>My son put the year he was notified (so this year, his senior year).</p>
<p>I’m NMSF and I’m listing as senior year since I got notified this year. I’m sure colleges wouldn’t have a problem with listing it as junior year though, as it could be interpreted either way.</p>
