<p>One of my major ECs is varsity basketball. İ’ve been playing since my 10th grade year and was captain for all three years. This year our team is ranked 10th in the entire country at the moment. İs that impressive/ eyecatching? We also won many tournaments all throughout New England.</p>

<p>The ranking is much less important than your long-term commitment to the activity, and your demonstrated leadership skills. And it’s probably a lousy essay topic unless you overcame some obstacle like diabetes to get there; most essays on topics like that make the writer sound arrogant.</p>
