Does it really matter if I get accepted into national social studies honor society? I applied and got my acceptance/denial letter this morning. I opened it thinking I got accepted because I had an incredible application. Turns out I got denied. I was absolutely crushed but I don’t if that will affect my college applications that I got denied.
Don’t even think twice about it, this will not impact your college applications in the least. I am sorry that you are disappointed that is a valid feeling.

I don’t think any of these honor societies make any difference on a college application. They are a dime-a-dozen and have been watered down over the years (IMO).

No. The Honor Societies are basically meaningless, including NHS.

It won’t matter. They won’t know you applied and were denied. They won’t even know if your school has one.
