<p>Some do. When I was in high school many years ago, a class-mate who was admitted to Yale got a phone call from the then-president of the black student association welcoming him to Yale and encouraging him to join the association. He was very touched and told the president that he didn’t realize that the black student association was so welcoming of white students. He says the pause on the other end of the phone went on for a very long time…</p>
