Natural Born Follower? Personality Help?

Alrighty, to put it simply, the one thing that I feel I really lack for a HYPSM top tier sort of college is leadership.

But the thing is, what if I’m just born that way? I’m naturally a follower and it’s very difficult for me to seek leadership. I naturally stray away from any opportunities of being put in leadership. I even find it uncomfortable when my group of friends ask me where I want to go and what I want to do.

Also, another thing that comes with being a follower is that I tend to mimic other peoples’ personalities as well because I am unconfident with my own and I don’t have any idea what my personality is anyway. HELP. Sometimes I feel like I know what it is, but then I just feel that I take parts of other peoples’ personalities and just congregate them into what I am.

How on earth is that going to look for colleges? Not very leadershipy (I mean I’ve run for office before, but I lost. However I plan to run for NHS President/ Create National Science Honor Society at our school. Is that enough?) and I don’t even know what my personality is, nevermind trying to get it across in my essays.

What is life.

If you aren’t a leader, then HYPSM are not schools for you. Everyone there is a leader who looks to change the world.

Life is made up of two kinds of people: Those who rule and those who get ruled. You have to be confident, and it’s not that you were born that way, it’s that you choose to live that way. I mean what do you have to lose by being confident? We’re all going to die at one point, so why not make the most of our lives? If you think people will judge you, screw them. You might just be their boss one day if you start being confident.
