Natural Sciences students in June orientations

I originally registered for a July session because my parents were planning on goin’ back to the ol’ homeland (in Asia) during June. But alas, they changed plans…now it looks like we’re trying to go back in July. However, even though orientation dates can be changed, no more June spaces are available for me to reschedule my session. So…

This is pretty unlikely, but would anybody be willing to switch and take a later date? I currently have July 10-13, and the orientation website states that rescheduling an orientation session is perfectly fine…pending available space. Also, seeing as the orientation is based on the selected major, I would only be able to switch with another natural sciences student.

Any suggestions in general about how I could possibly solve this bit of a mess would also be greatly appreciated!

There will be incoming Natural Sciences freshmen who have registered for early June orientations that will cancel. Their slots will be backfilled via on-line registration on the day that they cancel.

The people New Student Services @ 471-3304 can tell you the date that they expect the greatest # of cancellations - usually the last date registrants can cancel and get a refund on their deposit.

Also check the registration sign-up website frequently. When a registrant cancels, their spot will be made available as soon as the Orientation office processes it. It’s strictly a matter of being on-line when an opening is made available.

If you don’t get in via on-line registration, there will be registrants who just don’t show up. If you want to take your chances, you can go to the Orientation sign-in table and get on a waitlist to backfill slots of no-shows.

That’s what I remember from last year but call the number above. They were pretty helpful.

Wow, I don’t think I can thank you enough for the above information. But I’ll try anyways…

THANKS!!!
