<p>Once the Brigade reforms in August, and plebe summer is offically over, plebes get a limited amount of town liberty during plebe year [typically, Saturday noon until around 10 or so… changes each year, but close enough]. Town liberty, for many years, included all that space “within a 22 mile limit of the Navy Chapel Dome” [as the Blue Angels fly]. This past year, the limit was extended a bit to around 30 miles, putting Washington DC and Baltimore in play. Anyway, town liberty gives you a chance to go to your sponsor’s home, or to your own if it is within the defined limits. [with a new Dant just on board, no doubt the limits will be revisited again]</p>
<p>On Sundays, you are restricted to the yard. Under special circumstances, you can apply for a chit for a weekend… you may even “earn” a weekend as a class…which means you get to spend an overnight off the yard. </p>
<p>Note that ALL of this is considered secondary, optional and conditional, meaning it can happen, might happen, may not happen, etc… ALL subject to change, the needs of the USNA, the needs of your COMPANY, etc.</p>
