Naviance graphs and "past precedent"

So I was bored today and feeling pretty nervous about college applications and everything when I had the idea to look up the graph for Chicago on my Naviance account (second most addictive site ever, after CC, obviously). As it turns out, my school has a pretty good record of getting people into Chicago. Of the students with stats in a similar range to me, only one person was waitlisted and everyone else was accepted. Now, I know I shouldn’t read too much into this, but how accurate is my high school’s track record in estimating chances, based on stats alone? There are obviously many more important factors to consider (essays, recs, activities, and so on), but based on this, am I justified in feeling a little more optimistic than I did before?

Of course, now that I’ve written all this, I just know I’m going to end up being the one red “X” in the top right corner of the chart… eek.

[This is the graph, by the way.](<a href=“http://i13.■■■■■■■.com/2iax7rq.jpg"]This”>http://i13.■■■■■■■.com/2iax7rq.jpg)

that’s a mighty dandy SAT score you have, there. heheh… hmmm naviance… oh how addictive it was indeed!!! From my school, I’d say it was pretty inaccurate, because my class happened to fare pretty poorly when it came to admisison. Also, consider Chicago had a significant increase in applications received this year… BUT, given that, your SAT and gpa are certainly good enough… if everything else is in tip-top shape, and you wrote good essays… I think you have a good chance.

what is this website??? any link?

For my school it’s this[/url”>http://tcci.naviance.com/wis/"]this, but your high school needs to have its own account in order for you to use it… you could always ask your counselor about it.
