Navy Football Team Members Selected For Leadership Positions In Bancroft

<p>ANNNAPOLIS, Md.-Three Navy football players and two student managers have been selected for leadership positions in Bancroft Hall for the spring
semester.</p>

<p>Senior Jeremy McGown (Houston, Texas), a three-year starter in the secondary, has been selected as the Fourth Battalion Commander, starting punter Greg Veteto (Jr./Corpus Christi, Texas) was chosen to be the Brigade Sergeant Major and senior punter Leif Walroth (Sr./Hurricane, W.Va.) will be the 17th Company Commander. Student managers James Koffi (Seventh Company Commander) and Ian Townsend (21st Company Commander) were also selected for leadership positions.</p>

<p>“I am extremely proud that our football team is embracing everything the Naval Academy has to offer,” said Navy head football coach Paul Johnson. "This will be an outstanding opportunity for these five young men and I hope to see more football players involved in leadership positions in Bancroft Hall in the future. It is something we encourage as a coaching staff.</p>
