Is anyone else struggling to log into the Scholarship Application portal? We have the Unity ID, but any time we try to reset the password it says âThere is an issue with your Security Questions. In order to reset your password please go to the walk-in center at 101 West Dunn Building located on the corner of Dan Allen Drive and Thurman Drive.â
@chaphillmom We had the same issue. We had to reset the password (twice) to get it to work.

For anyone who was deferred or denied, you can request a change of major and NC State will reconsider your application. Last year, my son was accepted into the Exploratory Studies program but knew that he wanted to major in business. One week after his acceptance, he sent an e-mail requesting a change of major, they sent him a link to a form to fill out, and a week later he was accepted into the Poole School of Management. When we were researching this, we found that those deferred, waitlisted or even denied could request a change of major and be reconsidered. If interested, just search for change of major on website and you will eventually find the info.
Does anyone know when Honor College invites are sent out?
Sorry typed wrong SAT conversion. An ACT 34 translates to 1520 - 1550.
Why canât we update a post?
Wow, impressive stats!!! Are you a Park Scholar?
@RandyWL does your son have any Câs on his transcript? I knew someone a few years ago that had great grades except for foreign language where he struggled and earned Câs and NCSU told his family that was what hurt his application.
@croaswife looks like our twins applied to a lot of the same colleges. Do yours have a first choice at this point?
@twinmommy I think one is torn between two schools. The other cast a wider net and has some great opportunities out of state and we have to go visit a few places before she has a better feel. I think it will take right up to the last minute before she makes a decision, My older son is going to school OOS as well so it is going to be quite the juggling act next year trying to get 3 kids to what will most likely be 3 different schools. Sigh!
OOS deferred for Animal Science.
Son deferred for Exp Studies.

This was a reach for him b/c of Test scores, he said he couldnât see himself at State, so not very disappointed.
Congrats to those that got it!
Yes - she applied to all. She still has Clemson and Georgia on her list waiting on in addition to VT.
I got denied, but emailed admissions to consider me for any major with available spaces. Do I still have a chance?
@cbl1 My son still has VT, FSU, UGA and Elon, I wanted him to apply to Clemson he wasnât interested . Going to be a hard decision I will be really shocked if he gets into UGA
DD got accepted in Engineering school/Computer Science.
Stats: 1330 SAT 4.3 weighted GPA. Instate
Good luck to everyone!!!
