<p>IB Student. All AP/IB courses since junior year. Several internships including one at UNC. Co founder and president of my local youth council. Interned at several doctors clinics. Day Camp Counselor over the summer. 1st Degree Black Belt in Hapkido - practiced for 7 years. Competed nationwide and have placed third place. Traditional indian dancer/bhangra dancer. Spanish Club President. Toxic Free NC volunteer - helped pass environmental legislation. </p>

<p>First semester grades from senior year are quite miserable.</p>

<p>I applied as follows: 1st choice - College of Engineering (Environmental Engineering Intent)
2nd Choice: First Year College</p>

<p>Where else did you apply? Be sure to apply to schools where you your ACT score is in their upper ranks to have the best chances. </p>

<p>Why were your first semester senior grades miserable? If the problem was you (not enough studying, etc), can you submit mid-semester progress reports to NC to see if that would help you get in? Work your tail off, go to tutorials, whatever it takes to excel in the second semester. Good luck and I hope you get in.</p>
