NC State Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

@Winterbreak Thank you so much I have all A’s, but in calculus I have a B which frightens me a lot. Congratulations on ur acceptance!!!

I also have a B in calc 1 but managed to get an A in calc 2. You should be fine with that B.

I really want to know how they decide who gets in and who doesn’t.

Haha you and us too man.

@Winterbreak, yeah me 2 I wonder how they choose who is qualified and still don’t know the reason they have the midterm and spring grades thing. State has me confused, anxious, and bouncing off the walls oof

@westernkid1121 I totally agree with the midterm and spring thing. I wish they would explain them just a little because if you go to their website the two are worded the exact same. Makes no sense.

@RangerRick175 I will say that I have heard of a few people who have gotten their decisions back and they don’t seem to follow a certain criteria on how they are accepting. This is all just very confusing.

@westernkid1121 As far as you know, are the people hearing back about their decisions a mix of acceptances and rejections? I’ve only seen people post about being accepted.

@itsmejess1 I have also only heard about acceptances, however I will say it seems like they are just releasing it as they go through applications. I believe that once they review your application and make a decision they simply release it at that moment, so I think that it can be any day now.

Hey everyone I made an Instagram account for fall 2020 incoming transfers. Go follow it and DM us if you want to be featured on the page.

@ncsutransfer2020

Maybe this information helps you understand the process better.
I have all minimum requirements for transfer admission, meaning:

  • all transferable credit hours 30+,
  • required GPA of at least 3.5 (+)
  • 4 credit hours of English
  • chemistry with lab
  • Calc 1 + Calc 2
  • Minimum 2.5 math GPA on last two math courses (Calc 1 B, calc 2 A)
  • Calculus-based Physics I with lab (B)

I actually study in second language and currently reside in the United States. However, since I life here I count as a transfer student. Many people mentioned their origin ( and gender) but I doubt that makes a difference (?).

@Winterbreak That is helpful. I am in the same boat I have all the minimum requirements with 33 transferable credits, a 3.8 GPA, and my only B this entire year is in Calculus, however that was when I submitted my midterm grades and now I have an A. I just wish they would look through my application soon so I know, but I guess I can wait a few more days since I’ve already waited this long.

Maybe I got my decision earlier because I wrote to my advisor that my Plan B school requires a decision May 1st.

@Winterbreak Yeah that could be it to u r very right about that.

Just got my decision today and I got accepted! Have hope everyone. I honestly thought I wasn’t gonna get in but I did.

@MeltedBanjo Congrats!

Do they send out an email to check the account? Or is it just check and see?

They send out an email stating that there has been an update to your wolfpaw account. If you log in you should see something at the top left that says:
