NC Transfer Student

I’m interested in NC’s C-STEP program, which is basically a program that guarantees admission to one of NC’s four-year colleges after students complete a two-year program at an NC community college.

I’m currently taking classes at my local community college and am interested in the C-STEP program, but I’m not sure if I’m eligible because technically, I’m already a junior. I’ve already taken ~3 years worth of classes at two different NC four-year colleges, and I had fairly poor grades throughout those three years.

However, I’m looking to turn over a new leaf, if you will, and am wondering if I’d be eligible for the C-STEP program after completing two years of community college (hopefully maintaining good grades this time).

Does anyone know if, in my situation, I would qualify for participating in the C-STEP program?

I’d also be interested to hear if there are any programs like this - programs that reward you for productive community college classes - for out-of-state students in another state.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Gia
