NCAA in BS

Hi, I’m new here.
Currently I’m a freshman and will attend BS as sophomore this fall.
I play varsity golf in my high school team, the team won state championship for the last three years. Most of the team seniors go to college with golf scholarship. One QC in school handle NCAA cases.

How’s NCAA in BS ? Maybe I should say how BS send their athlete to college ?

Public high school golf team has regional and all-state championship, how about BS? Do they have their own league?

If I register for NCAA clearinghouse, will my record follow me to BS ?

It depends on the bs. Some schools have excellent teams, while others do not.
I do not know whether schools play in separate leagues from public schools, but I would imagine so as that is how it is in other sports. The East Coast bs leagues do tend to be some of the strongest in the country in their sports, though. NMH, for example, (laxtaxi are you there???) has their own 9-hole golf course which students are free to use when they wish. I don’t know much about their team at all, but a friend of my son’s who is graduating this year will play for Indiana University next year.
Check out the school websites, look up their golf teams, contact the coaches. Some schools will show matriculation stats on the players. Do you currently live in an area where you get almost year-round playing time? At BS, this might not be the case, so that could be a factor.
As far as NCAA Clearinghouse, they don’t do the clearances until you are a senior anyway. Yes, your current record goes with you.

keylyme, thank you, I will contact coach for more info.
I live in east coast, close to NE, only 3 months for school team and maxi. 8 months per year.

mehappykid: My son plays competitive junior golf and will be playing in high school. Most BS have very competitive golf teams and even more impressively have golf courses on campus. Taft, Peddie, Blair, Hotchkiss and Lawrenceville are some of these schools. The US amateur champ, I believe in 2002, was James Driscoll he now plays on the PGA tour, he attended Taft.

Blair and Lawrenceville have an exchange program over the summer with schools in England and Scotland. The team members spend three weeks playing competitively at some wonderful courses, St. Andrew’s (the old course), Carnoustie, Royal Litham, etc. Use the link below
