He is not really competitive enough to be recruited for Div I and is looking mostly at Div III schools, although we are not excluding Div I schools in the search process. Does he need to Complete the NCAA application if he mostly would only participate at a Div III school?</p>

<p>NCAA application is user friendly, not expensive and worth the quick application/filing process, especially if you are even considering D1or DII schools. They will not be able to consider you without the NCAA clearance and qualifying information (which again is very simple and easy, simply a matter of filling out the form and meeting very minimal requirements). In the recruiting journey, it is prudent to keep all options open for academics/athletic/scholarship opportunities. DIII schools should not require the NCAA clearance.</p>
