Well, first off how much does ncsa’s packages cost per month?

And for what this topic is really about…Is ncsa really worth it to help a soccer player get recruited? Do their information, videos they give, etc. really high quality and worth the large amount of money? Does ncsa give you the best chance of any recruitment website for being recruited for soccer?

I am not familiar with NCSA but from what I have heard in general that coaches in many sports do not rely on recruiting services to find their athletes. They know where to find the best athletes in their respective sports and I think the recruiting services might pay off for lower tier athletic programs who wait till the very end to recruit… I am not 100% sure though.

cokeeper, it’s my belief that there is nothing a paid recruiting service can do that can’t be done as well, or better, by the athlete and parent. Do some basic research to determine schools that will be a good potential fit and initiate contact with the coaches of the programs.

You need to contact NCSA for costs. They’ve several packages from basic to expensive. The average cost ranges from $800 to $1500.

The key to NCSA is to begin in 9th grade, attend as many camps and combines (ESPN, UnderArmour to name just a few) as you can afford. The results from the camps, i.e. the measurables, help to put you in successive levels of NCSA promotion. If you just pay the $$ and give some token info you are wasting your money. If you wait till you’ll a rising senior your are wasting your money. The program has worked for many, don’t let anyone tell you different. Coaches will use whatever resources to find players to fit their programs, including services like NCSA. Sure the top 100 are easy to find but most schools are out of the running for the cream from the start.

However, with that said, there is much you can do yourself. First, tape, edit, and post on youtube or vimeo. Attend combines and camps of colleges that interest you. In your junior year contact coaches of schools that you want to attend by filling out athletic questionnaires and sending in film. Note: I’m familiar with football and know that coaches canNOT initiate contact with recruits till after 9/1 of the student’s senior HS year. Google is a powerful tool to find coach and recruiting coordinator info. Use it to your advantage.
