Hello, I am opening up this discussion to communicate with 2015 applicants and to discuss information about what to expect on discovery day. I know there is a basic math test, but I have no idea what exactly to expect. I will be happy to hear from present and past smathers to have some insight!

I am going to Discovery Day on March 14 and I wanted to find out what will be covered on the test. Is the test based off of what level math you are taking at school?

It’s not based off the math your taking. Everyone takes the same test, and there’s a bunch of people in the room with you. It’s just working out equations. You’ll have about 30-45 min. And there’s like thirty problems. And your score is based off of how many questions you get right. So if you need to skip a problem or two I would. And you can’t bring a calculator or your phone with you to the class room
