NCSU Transfer Spring 2025

Starting this thread for spring 2025 applicants, has anyone been asked to send in grades yet? If so has anyone got a decision? What are your stats?

3.682 college gpa
22 credits (13 in progress) at NC Community College
English and math requirements completed
Applying for Political Science or Communications.

What are the chances I get in? I tried doing the unity id trick and it sent an email saying that someone tried logging into my account, it also sent the email to what would be my NC State email account. Is this a good sign?

Hello from a fellow NCSU Spring Transfer applicant applying to both Economics & Political Science in Spring of 2025.

So far, nobodies gotten their decision yet and by the looks of it, NCSU typically doesn’t release their decisions until either on or after the decision date.

The transfer acceptance rate at from last Fall of 2024 was 46.6% for NCSU which is higher than UNC’s 2024 transfer acceptance rate of 39.5.

The requirements for Political Science in-state for NC Community College students for NC State is to have a 3.0 GPA, Both English Composition I & II (ENG 111 & ENG 112) Completed, AND at least 1 college level math course completed. It also will be heavily suggested that you complete 4 Humanities and Fine Arts courses, Either MAT 143: Quantitative Literacy or MAT 171: Precalculus Algebra, POL 210: Introduction to Comparative Politics and POL 220: Introduction to International Relations, PHI 215 or PHI 220, HIS 112 or HIS 121, and MAT: 152 Statistical Methods.

If you have lower than 30 credits already completed they may want to see your high school transcript.

Judging by your GPA being well above the minimum gpa of 3.0. I’d say you have a pretty good shot at getting in, around a 60-70% chance.

In regards to the Unity ID trick, it’s just a hack. It doesn’t clarify if your getting accepted or not because officials are making finalized admissions decisions up until the day before decisions are released.
