My avatar is of a fit and flare dress I purchased. This is the back…the front scoops down just a little Lower. However, it is still high, rounded and just under my collarbone. There is enough room for a really short necklace. Should I do that? If so, what color? the pattern just seems to busy to wear something that lays over it. I don’t look right in dainty jewelry. Or maybe a larger one would be ok? I know it seems like I could get away with nothing, but it really cries out for it.
I’d look for a statement necklace that picks up the green in the dress. This one from Kendra Scott is pricey, but you could probably find something similar for less. http://www.kendrascott.com/harlow-statement-necklace-in-teal.html
Here’s a more reasonable choice that is available in several colors: http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/baublebar-bold-multistrand-beaded-statement-necklace/4245406?origin=category-personalizedsort&fashioncolor=MINT
You could also do something in fuschia http://www.kendrascott.com/rayne-necklace-in-fuchsia-jade.html
How about a statement necklace in white? If it was on top of the fabric it might work. Not sure about the length, but something like this:
I am old-fashioned - wear it with a set of choker pearls (will contrast the colorful dress nicely)
I think you should go for something chunky and gold. I’d leave out any other colors as you already have plenty of color in the dress.
Ok…statement necklace it is! I will go to Charming Charlie’s and play around. Thanks guys!
@conmama, you know we’re going to want to see what you find!
Another idea is to forego a necklace altogether and do a really neat bracelet (cuff or otherwise). There’s a lot in that dress already; it doesn’t really need a necklace IMO. It’s very pretty!
I agree with something chunky and gold, you can’t go wrong with that.
I agree with pizzagirl. Go with a bracelet instead.
I agree that a bracelet would be better than a necklace.
Chunky solid color or metal dangling earrings and a chunky bracelet that is different from the earrings? (ie. not a matching set.)
Yes, Pizzagirl, a cuff is perfect!
