Do all people need to be creative?
Most people in the world are right brained, and less creative than those who are left brained. The left brained people of the world drive the revolution of scientific and artistic advances throughout history. Creative people are necessary for the advancement of the human race, and without them our society would still be in the dark ages. Ayn Rand conveys the importance of individualism in the novel Anthem as a man journeys through the dark ages. Likewise, Bill James’ farfetched idea of sabermetrics proves creativity is essential for the advancement of the human race.
Ayn Rand’s Anthem portrays the importance of aesthetes in our society as the main character Prometheus brings his society into light. Prometheus was shunned for his individualism in a totalitarian society. He secretly conducted science experiments and discovered electricity. The latter was a result of his creativity, a trait which is essential for all to possess today, for without Prometheus his society would still be in the dark. The creative people of the world open other people’s closed mind which allows others to literally be enlightened.
During the Renaissance people like Leonardo Da Vinci flourished because they were creative. Da Vinci created numerous inventions, including the first crude models of tanks and airplanes. Da Vinci was wise beyond his years, as these inventions were not perfected until some years later. Da Vinci and others alike, created scientific advances that were not perfect; however, these inventions serve as basic guidelines for future generations.
The 2001 Oakland Athletics won games using an unheard of tactic called sabermetrics. Bill James coined sabermetrics as he pioneered the idea that baseball was in fact a business that can be won with low budget teams and “second rate” players. Billy Beane, the Oakland Athletics general manger, created a team based off of sabermetrics, and the team won the wild card with a 102-60 record. Sabermetrics seems farfetched to many, but to Bill James and Billy Beane it was a way to prove that money isn’t everything. The creativity of these men shifted baseball from a game of money to a game of objective stats that could be predicted, and without this advancement every team would buy wins like the teams with the highest pay rolls.
It is no secret that creative people drive our society. The thinkers, doers, and makers of things are all creative, and these people lay the foundation for advances in the future. Humans would still be in the dark ages without the creative people of today. Considering these cases, creativity is indeed necessary in every human, for without it there would be nothing but darkness.

This is a solid 11 or 12. The only thing is you have to be more careful in your first paragraph. You don’t want to accidentally offend your grader. If this was (hand)written in 25 minutes, you are solid.
