I’m looking for a dip for a veggie tray that is not hummus, or ranch dressing, or peanut based. Any great ideas?

I always make a simplified version of the spinach dip recipe on the knorr soup mix package. Should be made the night before and then mixed again before serving.

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (8 ounce) package vegetable soup mix

Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
Cover and chill in the refrigerator overnight

I like this blue cheese dip with veggies–make it all the time. I rarely have any left.

I love the white bean pat

Thanks! We love jicima. I’m pretty bad at slicing it into pretty sticks, however. I am actually going to have hummus as one of the dips, so any other kind of bean dip would be repetitive. Pesto is out - allergic.

I have all kinds of food issues…tree nuts, peanuts, gluten free…so I volunteered to bring an appetizer and a dessert to a party so I would definitely have something to eat. (I’m not vegetarian, however, so the main course [ham and turkey] will be fine.)

Do you have a Penzy’s Spice Store near you? They have some great dip mixes!

I keep seeing Penzy’s mentioned. Do they just sell spices?

What about a melted cheese dip – would that work? Maybe an herbed brie?

I Pinned that blue cheese dip - it’s in the running for my Christmas dip!!! Bromfield do you follow that recipe exactly?

This is my new favorite- Adapted from a recipe I found on Food Network

Greek Feta tzatziki

1 english cucumber or 3 persian cucumbers
1 container Greek non fat plain yogurt
1 clove garlic minced
2 tablespoons of fresh mint
1/2 cup crumbled feta

grate cucumber including peel on large hole box grater, put cucumber in colander, salt and let moisture drain. squeeze out any excess moisture after about 10 minutes
add the cucumber to a bowl with yogurt, feta, garlic and mint
works great with pita chips or vegetables or as a topping on chicken kabob sandwiches

Also how about a tapenade. I have had a good olive one from Costco. Trader Joe’s also has an artichoke tapenade that is good

This dill dip is an oldie but goodie in our home; we’ve made it with fresh instead of dried ingredients.

1 cup sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
4 tbsp dill weed
2 tbsp dried parsley flakes
3 tbsp dried onion flakes
2 tsp seasoned salt (optional)

Make one day in advance.

Agentninetynine–pretty much. They sell a lot of blends as well but mostly spices. I love them. They are VERY reasonable too. Sign up for their catalog–GREAT recipes in there as well and they always come with a free spice coupon. They ship if you don’t have one near you.
