<p>Wow - I had never heard of the red cup thing. That is scary. Best rule - open your own drink always. If you put leave it unattended even for a moment - get a fresh one that you open yourself.</p>
<p>When my D was in high school, her friends’ older sisters told the younger girls NEVER to accept any kind of drink at a party. My D had already resolved to either bring her own beverage or go thirsty before she ever started college. As it is, she found that drinking parties don’t interest her, anyway, so it hasn’t been an issue.</p>
<p>Gosh, I remember putting my open cup of beer on the floor in a corner & dancing … then getting my cup & finishing it. Those days are gone.</p>
