Hi guys I need some advice on what I should do. I want to get into Berkeley’s letter and science school and once I am there I am going to attempt to switch my major. I know that there is a bit of a risk because I can be denied but I am pretty confident I won’t and if I do then I will deal with it. Right now I am either thinking about applying as a Cognitive Science major or Philosophy both in L&S at Berkeley. In 2016 The acceptance rate for philosophy was 44% and cognitive science being 12%. My school doesn’t offer any of the philosophy courses but I am afraid that if I apply as philosophy I wont get in because I took a philosophy class for IGETC but pass/np even tho it wasn’t major prep. I am also scared to choose cognitive science because I have finished calculus 1 and I got an A and I will be doing discrete mathematics spring semester but I will be missing a class but on the berkeley page it says “These two lower-division requirements are not prerequisites for admission to the major, but should be completed as early as possible, as they provide the foundations for other required courses.” So which one do you think would most likely get me into Letters and Science(L&S)???
