NEED ADVICE ON THE SAT TEST!

I’m currently in Grade 10 in Australia. I will be sitting the SAT in the January/February of 2016. I have never taken the SAT test before. I’m very worried about the test. My problem solving skills are really bad but I am great at mathematics. My writing is good, and I’m not sure about the critical reading. College Board changed the SAT, and apparently their will be some US History documents included.

Can someone please help me structure a study plan incl. memorizing vocab words?

Thank you.

You can take help from some SAT prep institute. They will help you to prepare for SAT. You can also visit at https://plus.google.com/114108254864666389022/about</a> for assistance.

Hey fellow Aussie! (sort of)

I would suggest preparing for the ACT instead, as there is much more material to use.

In any case, use Khan Academy (google it). They’re the only people who are officially partnering with CollegeBoard to help with the new material.

The link @kristindewitt‌ gave you is for C2 a tutoring service. They’re rather expensive, but can they can be great depending on the center. If you’re still in Australia, I doubt there’s one near you.

Since Australian schools are a year ahead of American schools, you should be fine for the most part. Critically analyze some US History documents for practice, if you’d like. Math should be no problem, but find some on Khan Academy to review.

To memorize vocabulary words, the most helpful and yes, slowest way, is READING
and reading like actual classics. You can see big vocab words used in context and it will really help you
the ones who are better at vocabulary are the more avid readers
