So it all comes down to this. My h.s gpa is a 2.82/4.0 scale and my SAT is a 1510/2400, its not nearly good enough for the schools I wanna go to, but I am thinking about either doing my two years at a lower tier university like La Salle or Temple University or some other Pennsylvania state schools or a community college so I can work hard with a fresh start and try to mantain a really high gpa like a 3.9 or 4.0 in either choice for the first two years then try to transfer to an elite institution or one of the Ivy leagues being my desire. I also wanna do rowing, but a lot of schools with rowing are very expensive, even the lower tier with them. So I am not sure whether I wanna attend a lower tier university or a community college for the first two years then transfer where I desire? (I also don’t wanna be in too much debt)

Do you have a question? You should apply to a variety of schools without getting your heart stuck on one in particular. Go to the best school you can afford when all is said and done. Be realistic. You may find a wonderful little school that has rowing, is affordable, offers the majors you are interested in, and is affordable for you. Search for schools with rowing. Don’t cling to ratings and rankings, just look for schools that appeal to you and are in a reasonable location, etc, for your desires.
