Need an English/Comparative Lit Major Forum

Would any colleges have a course that would include reading anything by Sadeq Hedayat?

I’m currently at UCLA, and about 90% sure that I will be graduating with my degree in Comparative Literature. I can’t speak for UCLA, since their course catalog is extensive(and have yet to browse through all the course offerings), but your best bet to see if a school offer’s a course that includes Sadeq, is to look at schools that have iranian/persian studies, or offer the language of the writer you want to read as a minor or major. Usually Comp Lit majors, at least at UCLA, will have to take literature in the original foreign language. Also, if a college doesnt’ offer a course that includes reading by a particular writing, there’s always study abroad at a school in the country where the writer was native to. Institutions in the country of origin of a particular famous author is bound to offer a course with their works as required reading or as an elective.
