Need and Merit Scholarships

My son is in 5th grade and he wants to go to the Williston Northampton School for 7th grade. My husband (not his biological dad) and I make a combined anual income of $90,000, and we have a family of 4. My son’s dad makes probably $25,000 a year. What are our chances of getting a need-based scholarship and how much will it cover?
Also, my son is an exemplary student with a passion for Russian literature, world cusine, math and art, and he speaks and reads fluent Spanish. How are merit scholarships awarded? Based in what?

I have a son in 11th grade at Williston.
This is his third year there, and it’s been a great experience.

I’m not sure where you live, so just a heads up that there are no boarders in 7th and 8th grade at Williston, only day students.

I don’t know the answer about merit scholarships, but I encourage you to call them and talk to them about your son and your family’s need for financial aid. They’ll be really happy to hear from you and helpful about the process including how to afford it.
