Does UPenn have a need-blind aid policy ? And how good is the Engg. school for Computer Science ?

Yes, and good.

Thanks. So in your opinion, what’d be better. Applying ED to Yale or to U Penn for Computer Science/Computer Engineering ?

I’ve heard that it’s easier to get into Yale for Computer Science than it is for any other major ?

Hmm, well you obviously need to figure out which one is the best fit for you. Research the schools and find out which one you really WANT to go to. If you really WANT to go and feel like it’s the school for you, apply there ED. That’s what it’s for. Your passion will show through on your essays.

In general, they admit an applicant who in the end can major in anything he/she wants, and who can change majors. So it is not a good idea to speculate on admissions chances based on the major you put in your app, although of course this choice is seen and taken into account by admissions officers.

Yes

Using a major simply to get into a school is rarely a good idea.

plus, yale blows
