Need-blind, high-acceptance college?

I’m currently looking for a backup school or two to add to my list of Ivies.
I’ve read through a ton of college sites but a lot of them are either seriously religiously affilited, or they don’t offer substantial financial aid.

In my situation , I cannot pay anything regarding college, simply because my familiy greatly lacks any sort of finance to do so.

So what I’m looking for, is a college or a university with a high acceptance rate, that is able to offer a lot of international need-based aid.

There are no schools that have a high acceptance rate for internationals and are need blind for them. Your best shot at a lot of $$ is applying to schools that your stats are at the very top for that give generous merit aid. There’s a list on the parent’s board.

Also, as an applicant in general but especially as an international applicant, you do not need “a backup or two” to add to your list of Ivies, you need A LOT of backups. Ivy admission is insane in general and even more insane for international, and not even all the Ivies are need-blind for internationals. I don’t have any suggestions off the top of my head, but you should be looking at the Merit Scholarships thread and should apply to a broad range of schools that are generous with their money (and easier to gain entrance to than the Ivies). To do this, you may have to look at some schools that are not immediately appealing to you–including LAC’s, religiously oriented but not stifiling colleges, and schools that you and your family members have never heard of before ever. Unfortunately, as an international student with a lot of need, you need to either gain admission to HYPS, etc. school–unlikely, unfortunately, or apply to a whole bunch of generous schools and pray for the best financially. I hate to say it, but you have quite the uphill battle and will probably have to–or should–apply to a bunch of schools.
