Need College Recommendations?!

Looking for recommendations for: mid-sized schools (2,000-18,000 undergrad pop), in or near a city/good college town, liberal mindset, strong liberal arts, diverse, good study abroad programs, collaborative environment.

School’s similar to:

BU
GWU
Wash U in St. Louis
American
Emory
Tulane
etc…

Some ideas offhand…USC, Fordham, BC, Georgetown, Barnard (if female), Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Case Western, Emerson (if looking for majors offered there), Goucher, Loyola MD. If you like coop programs perhaps Drexel and Northeastern

University of Denver, Lewis and Clark, Rice, Macalester, Pitt, U of Miami.

Thank you!!

I’m very intrigued with Lewis and Clark! Is it pretty close to Portland?

also Tufts, Brandeis, URochester (if Rochester is a big enough city)

@samantha827 Lewis and Clark is about a 10 minute drive from downtown Portland, though its more on the edge of Lake Oswego, near Tryon Creek Park

Oregon and L and C are beautiful, and Portland is VERY liberal. Not sure on the diversity.

Rhodes in Memphis would be another good fit, as would Trinity U in San Antonio.

bump

College of Charleston.

U.Chicago
Brown
Reed (Portland! Hard to get more liberal than that.)
Rice (Houston)
LMU (Los Angeles) - Catholic but liberal in other ways (social issues, etc.) - depends on your definition of liberal

(someone mentioned USC - it is urban but it’s huge)
