<p>My son moved to WA. State (from Hawaii) in May 2009 to live with my sister who became his legal guardian at that time. He is a senior in high school and we are about to fill out the FAFSA. In reading the dependancy questions it appears they don’t need parent info if he has a court order for the guardianship. Is this true? Will that lower his EFC? We are middle class with 0 savings…the woes of a small business owner.</p>
