Need help finding a college with a reputable aviation and computer science program

Hi guys, so I aspire to be a pilot, however, due to the instability of the industry I want to major in computer science and minor in aviation at a reputable school with a great international name. Alas, I am finding very difficult to find such a school and it would be great if anyone could help me out. Thank you

Not sure where you’re from… and I have no experience here.

But I think somehow that Vaughn has a good rep. https://www.vaughn.edu/ I don’t think they have computer sci, but they do have other non-aviation majors.

I’m not sure I want a pilot who minored in aviation, lol.

Purdue University may be the school that you are seeking.

Embry Riddle

Does Embry Riddle offer Computer Science (CS) as a major ? Apparently it does as per a quick google check.

Purdue has both great CS and aviation but I’m unsure if you can minor in aviation. You certainly could work towards your licenses/hours though.

This probably doesn’t qualify, but Stanford has a Flying Club and lesson access to the local airport not too far away.

What year are you in high school? The United States Air Force Academy may be the place for you.

Start your search by identifying affordable places with good flight programs, then investigate the comp sci at those places. How do you feel about ice hockey? U of ND in Grand Forks might work for you.

Don’t know your stats or financial status, see if Florida Institute of Technology would be a good match. In the meantime, you might want to look into the Cadet Program at the Civil Air Patrol. Cadet Flying | Civil Air Patrol National Headquarters

Since computer science is your backup career, I wouldn’t be overly concerned with getting in a competitive top-notch program like Purdue that will probably give you little time to devote to flying.
