Need help finding college in the center

i know there are lots of good school in the midwest region or the west south central and east south central in the south region but i can’t find a good list of schools. i’m an international student and i don’t have much information about the Colleges there since most of them on the rankings are either on west or east coast. i really want to know about are there any good liberal arts college in the middle and it would be better if there are “science-y” college since i want to study math major. thanks for all your help :).[btw, this is the first time posting so plz don’t be hard on my stupidity or ignorance]

Umm this post does not make much sense… If I read it correctly you are looking for colleges in the center of the country? If you don’t mind me asking, why?

Rice is a good college for math/science in Texas. UTAustin is also pretty good.

I don’t know of any others in the region you specified.

Edit: Macalester in Minnesota is a good liberal arts college.

You can use any of the college-matching search engines to search by state. There are many places that could work for you in the midwest. For example, in Iowa alone there are Grinnell (a top LAC), and U of Iowa (an excellent public university).

You could take a look at St Olaf in Minnesota - They have a beautiful new science facility and pride themselves on their mathematics department. Also as mentioned, Grinnell (many internationals) Macalester, Carleton, Beloit and many others. As was said, search by state on College Board.

@tedders83yes, i want to know about the colleges at the center of the country. my teacher told me that there are not much students who want to study at the center especially the international one. people want to go to the coast like California some go to Texas but majority wants to go to the west and east coasts.
@happymomof1 thx i’ll try those
@saintfan believe me other than St Olaf i have nothing else :(

Asians are underrepresented at schools in the Midwest, unlike on either coast, so yes, you have an advantage in applying there. Grinnell and Macalester are both about 11% international students and offer generous financial aid to increase the diversity of their student bodies. Both are highly regarded. Look at Oberlin and Kenyon too.

But the competition, especially for students from China and India, is very intense and you will need top grades and test scores.

There are other less selective midwestern LACs (liberal arts colleges) but I don’t know how much aid they provide: Beloit, Lawrence, St. Olafs

Check out some of the south eastern LACs as well: Rhodes, Hendrix, Sawanee

@M’s Mom i really appreciate your post, it’s very useful to me :)
