Hey guys, I’m a current sophmore who needs some help choosing courses for next yr. My prefered major for college is cs. When choosing courses, I take in factors like relevant college credit, gpa boost, and obvs diffculty/time commitment. Due to this, I wanted some expert advice.

APStats isn’t awful. What about APES? Is much easier than other AP classes but still gets the weight. APUSH is a beast, especially on block scheduling. I’d find an honors elective or two. All AP classes is too much.
Yeah I’ve been heavily leaning into taking ap stats. Ap envior has been on my radar but I’ve been thinking of doing that senoiur year as a chill ap. But again speaking from someone who hasn’t been through this process. I appreciate your input, thanks.
I don’t understand this last part. Are you planning to add an online AP class in addition to your regular high school schedule? Or is this part of your high school schedule somehow?
Check out the common data sets of schools you’re interested in. Some recommend arts classes—Brown, for example, has a year of visual/performing arts in the “recommended” column.
This will also help with getting a sense of foreign language requirements/preferences.
If your goal is CS in California, you MUST have a performing or visual art class. It can be graphic design, ceramics, choir, AP art history, DE Music appreciation…
Otherwise, limit yourself to 4 APs or equivalent per year.
Will you have a math course for senior year after Calc BC?
