My daughter is taking an environmental course. She needs to compare our water usage with the national average. Unfortunately, we have well water and do not have actual figures for our water usage. We can guess but she would prefer actual hard data for a household of 3.
Would anyone we willing to post their actual water usage for the past month? She just needs one data point. Thanks.
Not exactly this past month, but this is from the most recent water bill:
10/01/2014 to 01/10/2015 1,000,000 gallons. Flipping through the previous bills, it looks like our usage has been in that range for the past couple of years. 2-3 people living there depending on if Happykid was home from college,

That can’t be right. I think you are off by a thousand - ? Per EPA, a typical family goes through 400 gallons a day.

I can look up ours, but we are a 2 person household billed every 2 months.
We are family of 2 and use about 2000 gallons a month…
Duh. You all are correct. The two meter readings themselves are at the top of the bill. The million plus figures would be since the building was constructed.
Leafing through the bills, it looks like our usage runs about 4,000 gallons each month (12,000 for 3 months).
