I love science and math and thought engineering would be a good career path for me. My first question, is there a such thing as atmospheric engineering? Second, I looked into petroleum engineering and saw a lot of opportunity in that! Where would be the best place to move to for that? I plan to attend UCF my first two years but I’m transferring out of state. Thank you

I have heard of atmospheric sciences as a degree. But, I am sure if you pursue a fluids focus in mechanical or aerospace engineering, you could do some atmospheric work.

It does exist, mainly as manipulation of the earth’s atmosphere, like large-scale sci-fi intervention, same way the Chinese did cloud seeding before the Beijing Olympics. However I’m not sure if you can study that, I think your best bet would be to do a BS in atmospheric sciences first and see where it goes from there.

Texas. Or pretty much anywhere in the south (New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Louisiana), but mainly Texas.
