i just tranfer to UCLA and im a junior, at my colege we take semester classes not quarter so my question is

1- how many classes will i take if im a chemistry major wanting to become a doctor

2- how long (hours) and how many days a week will i go to a class.

1.) Depends on what classes you’ve taken. If you’ve taken most of your lower div chem (general and organic), physics and life science then you may only need three classes per quarter. But, if you haven’t finished all of these classes yet you may need to take four classes per quarter to finish close to two years. You’ll be taking most of the pre-med classes as requirements for your major though you may need a few more extras like biochem (you may want to look up the chem requirements here Majors and see what you have and haven’t taken.)

2.) Entirely depends on the classes you end up taking. But, I can almost assure you that you will be in class M-F. Most upper division chemistry classes are MWF with discussions on T or R. Additionally, many of the lab classes are 3-4 hours long and some twice a week.
