Need help with Master's Decision: Msc in petroleum engineering

Hello, I am an international student with bsc in chemical engineering. I got admitted into the masters petroleum engineering programs of university of houston and missouri university of science and technology. I however need help selecting. i know that houston is a better location while mst is better ranked and ABET certified. pls assist

ABET accreditation is really only relevant for an undergraduate degree. Most programs do not bother to accredit their masters degrees and my guess is the neither of your choices has but they both have accredited B.S. programs.

Besides the rankings, you need to think about internships. The University of Houston (UH) is in the heart of the petroleum industry and should have a lot of contacts for internships. This is not to say Missouri Univ. of Science and Technology (MUST) does not but it is more remote. You should also think of the location and make sure it is compatible with your needs. MUST is in Rolla, Missouri and that is a small university-dominated town. UH is in a large metropolitan area.
