Need help

we were constantly being lined up for picture taking , and it was years before our household could experience this as an enjoyable activity, before any of the rest of us could be behind the camera. Until then, picture taking was serious business.( I hated it. I hated posing. i hated cameras. I hated the images that camera produced. i wanted to leave no trace. i wanted there to be no walls in my life that would, like gigantic maps , chart my journey. I wanted to stand outside history.)

The author’s attitude toward photography is best described as
A. mild impatience with a habitual activity
B.gruding approval of an unusual practice
C.intense resentment of an unwelcome intrusion
D.acute regreg for a childhood misconceoption
E growing ambivalence about family tradition
Answer is C
can you explain why C is correct ?
i eliminated A , D , E which was obiviously wrong
i choose B. Why b wrong ?
Thank you

All the “I hated…”, “I wanted…no walls”, “it was years before our household could experience this as an enjoyable activity” all suggest that the author has a strong dislike i.e. “intense resentment” for the activity. The part about “chart my journey” and “wanted to stand outside history” suggests that the author viewed it as an intrusion to his/her life.

B is wrong because where does it suggest grudging approval? The only line that says that the author was okay with it is the one where he says it was years until he could enjoy picture taking, but that wouldn’t make it “grudging approval”. He transitioned from disliking it the whole time to enjoying it in the future, but nothing suggests “grudging approval”.

ive just got it thanks a lot An0maly :D
