<p>Write an article on “how to train you dog to do the taxes.”</p>
<p>Go through your emails folders and clean them out…for ALL of your email addresses. Not only will it take up time from actually doing it, but you’ll get entranced in the drama that unfolded 3 years ago.</p>
<p>I am putting off doing my federal & state tax returns, S’s federal & state tax returns, D’s federal return, and 2 state returns (resident for where we live and non-resident for where she works/goes to school), S’s Fafsa, D’s Fafsa, and D’s school specific financial aid renewal.</p>
<p>I need many, many ideas for procrastinating. Last weekend I cleaned the bathrooms top to bottom. Quick. Another weekend is here.</p>

You could clean out closets, or your kid’s old clothes…</p>
<p>Allow me to recommend a few activities that got me through a few days of procrastinating: </p>

<p>Folding ALL the laundry and matching the socks.</p>
<p>Brushing the dog thoroughly and gently and then doing her toenails.</p>
<p>Training the dog to pounce on a piece of cloth when I gave the cue “kill the bunny!”</p>
<p>Getting the mending done.</p>
<p>Planning and creating and eating a really nice soup for dinner that required a lot of knife work. </p>
<p>Sadly, I finally ran out of things to do and ended up getting the tax planner done and off to the accountant. Now it’s his turn. Next week I plan on procrastinating on organizing the photos from DH-and-DS’s bike trip last summer.</p>
<p>I really appreciate the suggestion to write an article on how to train the dog to do the taxes, BTW.</p>
