I am procrastinating, rather than get started on the taxes. So far, I’ve mopped the kitchen floor, cleaned out the bathroom drawers, created a cash-flow spread sheet for our finances for the next year, and read a magazine on dog training. I’m running out of ideas here…

Please help me, what else is a higher priority than starting on the taxes?

My taxes will be easy this year (only one line in the Schedule D, yipeee!), but I will join the procrastinators’ club :)

I plan on spending my weekend cleaning the bathroom in preparations for the arrival of the new mirror and planning the remodel of the vanity. I think I bookmarked the cabinet knob site that you mentioned… Maybe not. Maybe you can help me look for some bath remodel links? ;)

make you a deal; I will do your taxes for you if you wanna “procrastinate” your way over here to clean all the stuff you did at your house…deal??

1) wiping down the shelves in the refrigerator
2) wiping off the hood over the cooktop; mine is stainless steel so I can spend some time on it
3) cleaning out my handbag
4) watching the episode of that TV show I sometimes watch but missed last week on Hulu…and this leads me to watching shows that I’ve read about in the Parent Cafe that everyone loves

That’s kind of risky, isn’t it? I mean, while you have the spread sheet open and are looking at financial records, you could find yourself accidentally making an entry related to tax prep.

I’d say, stick with the dog training articles.

In fact, maybe you should think about teaching your dogs something new. And particularly challenging.

Have you vacuumed the undersides of your area rugs yet? Really helps with the life of the rug. Same holds true for the refrigerator. My own personal favorite is to clean the grout in the bathroom with a toothbrush. My house is very clean during tax season.
