Need math help!!

Hey, I’m going to be a junior this fall and plan on taking the Oct SATs Is for the first time. I am currently stuck at a 680-730 range, and can’t seem to get up to that next level. I was just wondering if anyone had some tips for me, as that would be awesome!

Practice, practice, practice. After you get something wrong, try to figure it out yourself. Then read the explanation. Then do other similar questions (make them up if you have to o_O).

Make sure you understand all the principles as well…

thanks man

I had same kind of problem - I always got a bit below 700, however the mistakes were silly, could’ve solved correctly. If that is your problem, try to be more attentive - I practiced my concentration and now have ~750. It also helps me to solve the problems quick, so I have 5-7m to double-check.

I usually do make a couple silly mistakes but there always seem to be those problems that I simply do know how to do…I’ve taken at least 10 practice tests tho so I’m gonna to set up all the problems so far I’ve gotten wrong and I’m gonna redo them and see how i do…then I’m gonna do them till i get them right…a large problem i have however is time.i usually only have about a minute to check over my work

Try not to check the answers, while responding, do it at the end.
IF you are sometimes are getting stuck on certain question for some time, try to insightfully comprehend the topic. You may sometimes know the formulas or the whatever, while not knowing why they work, for example.

I will do what u said…if u don’t mind me asking what’s the benefits of not checking the answer right away…and yeah ur right…sometimes I get those problems so I just can’t figure out the math to

bumpidy bump bump

When you check them right away (as I noticed analyzing myself), you are likely to use the same method or you try to prove the answer chosen instead of looking for the alternates.
Checking in the remaining time, though, led me to starting the question over with me not that much prejudiced.

makes sense definitely…although i must admit i dont know why that would be but if u say its how it is i believe u
